Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
"The early you start more the benefit". CFD is fast becoming a popular simulation based design tool in industry. Our course participants are from academic background as well as industry professionals. But if you are a student in an undergraduate science degree this is the best time to start learning CFD. The early you start, more are the benefits.
The objective of the workshop is to create awareness among engineering students about one of the most challenging and growing field of CFD, its fundamentals, usage, wide industrial applications and career opportunities. It also introduced most widely used and popular CFD tool ANSYS FLUENT and ANSYS ICEM-CFD provided by ANSYS Inc. With vast capabilities available in these tools one can solve almost any engineering problem involving physics of fluid and heat transfer.
The workshop is open for participants from diverse engineering background (Mechanical, Chemical, Aeronautical, Automobile) from both undergraduate & postgraduate. The topics of the workshop were as follows :
1. Introduction to CFD
2. Review of CFD Equations
3. CFD Flow Process
4. Introduction to ANSYS ICEM-CFD
5. Introduction to ANSYS FLUENT
6. Hands on for ICEM CFD & FLUENT
7. Question Answer Session
Through the workshop the students will be acquainted with the basics of CFD, its applications in different domains, the different existing commercial softwares like ANSYS ICEM CFD, ANSYS FLUENT and career opportunities in the same.
