Origami

 Origami (ori meaning "folding", and kami meaning "paper"; kami changes to gami due to rendaku) is the traditional Japanese art of paper folding, which started in the 17th century AD at the latest and was popularized outside of Japan in the mid-1900s. The workshop is essentially for beginners, creates motivation and breaks the inhibition of paper folding. The workshop briefly introduces the history and the works of the masters of origami followed by a total one to one participation of folding origami paper models. Away from the digital world, the participants get a sense of real world problem solving, achievement and gifting.

WHAT WILL BE TAUGHT:
It will be a hands-on interactive experience for the participants; they will fold models ranging from beginner level to intermediate. Trainer will discuss the history and development of this art in India and the world. He will also teach how to read and understand diagram notation in Origami books. The workshop will be conducted at a pace that everyone can follow and you will also be shown videos on various forms of orgami folding.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
- Anyone above the age of 15 can join the workshop. There is no prerequisite knowledge required for
this workshop.
- All you need to do is be interested in learning Origami.


The fees for this workshop are Rs. 2000 inclusive of all material, which is essentially as much paper as you want.
